Every day is a special day in the Hindu culture of Srivastava. Dedicated to each god on each day of the week. The direct deity of Kaliyuga, Srinivasan, is worshiped on Saturdays.
We experience many hardships in life under the influence of present and past karmas. These are due to the influence of Saturn, the giver of karma. We should especially worship Sri Venkateswaraswamy so that his influence does not bother us too much.
If the grace of the cosmic leader of the universe were upon us there would be no faults. But in order to get rid of the error of Lord Shani along with the grace of Srinivasan, one has to worship Srivari regularly for seven Saturdays.
How to do this puja: One should wake up early on Saturday morning, finish the baths, clean the shrine and decorate Venkateswara Swami. Willingness should be stated at the beginning of the puja. Mix rice flour, milk, jaggery and banana to make a paste. Put seven wicks in it and light a lamp with cow dung.
Legend has it that on this auspicious day of the Lord, Vaishnavism regularly worships Srihari. So Ashtaishwaryas are prepared for those who bathe in the morning and light a lamp in front of Tulsikota with cow dung or sesame oil. It is believed that Lakshmi Devi is constantly present in the house of those who do so.
Those who light a lamp with cow ghee at the Venkateswara Temple on Saturday evening will get rid of their worries and attain happiness.
The myths declare that if one worships the Lord for seven Saturdays, all the errors will be removed and all the deeds undertaken will go on uninterruptedly and the desired desires will be fulfilled.
